MERA BHARAT MAHAAN - MUMBAI MAYHEM & POLITICS

Mera BHARAT Mahaan.

We have always felt proud of our nation - and why not?
There have been so many happy moments ever since independence.
I need not recount these here.
But it is in these adverse situations, that we need to keep our nerve and cool.
It is not the coolness of politicians I am referring to, because for them, these situations make them inert and inactive.

Just look at following as how our politicians are --

Kerala CM's 'dog' statement regarding Sandeep's family are atrocious. My heart does not even allow me to repeat it here, and I wonder how could a responsible person like a CM even think such words and then he has guts to say these.Does he deserve to be CM of a state?

Vilas Rao Deshmukh says that he had nothing in his mind by taking Ram Gopal Verma to Taj.Was Vilas Rao making a picnic trip to Taj, that he needed his son and friend to accompany him.
Even school going children of India have enough intellegence to think that he should intentionally not have allowed his son and Ram Gopal to visit Taj.But Vilas Rao has no such intellegence. And that is further supported by the fact that he wanted to retain his CM's chair.Should he not have resigned immediately after the end of Taj operation on his own.

Abbas Naqvi sees lipstick and powder of mumbai's womenfolk bad and passes remarks in today's tense atmosphere, but do not see any bad when Advani decides to skip the all party meet on this grave issue.
It seems Advani was busy in election meetings and rallies, and did not have time to contribute his bit for brainstorming for this burning issue of terrorism.

And has anybody heard of Raj Thackery in these days?
Perhaps he knows that it is not the people of Bihar who have come to Mumbai this time, but it is the people across the border, who have come to Mumbai and made a name for themselves in Raj's Mumbai.
Is MNS supposed to show their power only on the poor people of Bihar, and not on the armed people from our neighbouring country.
We would have appreciated--- had MNS taken the front , before NSG reached the scene.
We would have appreciated --- if MNS had driven these armed men out of Mumbai, just like they did to the people from Bihar.

While for Mumbai Dy CM, 60 hours of terror was a small matter, I wonder what would he have called if someone close to him would have faced the same fear what so many faced in those 60 hours.

Prakash Javdekar in a TV debate (on 1/12/08 at 10 pm on Aaj Tak) does not reply the questions straight , but argues and discusses and spents most of his time arguing with the anchor that the questions being asked to him are " out of syllabus".

Despite all above, every cloud has a silver lining.
Though the Central Govt is also responsible for not having security and other systems in place, but we feel fortunate to have Dr. Manmohan Singh as PM , who has so far reacted and acted responsibly and maturedly.
In this hour of grief, sorrow and anger, we need to keep our cool, and have full faith in Dr. Manmohan Singh.
We need to make our point clearly and loudly to Pakistan, and if they do not listen this time, India should be ready with an assault on Pakistan as well, if they do not understand the language of love.

We will surely overcome this cyclone as well, and this experience will make us stronger.
I have no doubt on this.
And it is for this reason, we Indians have made stronder India, yet at the same time being resilient.

It is for this reason, MERA BHARAT IS MAHAAN,
and it will remain so for centuries to come.

And I conclude here by saluting the brave people who gave away their life for us to live.

AMARNATH ISSUE

it is high time that stern action is taken.
it may not please all, but attempt should be made to give something to both sides.
the best solution lies in giving the land to the shrine board. it will please the present agitating group
but attach some strings to it- this will please the kashmiri muslims.
amidst this, politics will be played again by interested sections.
handle that part sternly, and without any compromise.

AMARNATH BOILOUT

why have we allowed the politicians to worse the situation.
it is anybody's guess that politicians have played it to their gains, the elections being near.
otherwise what is in a piece of land.
i have known kashmiris muslims.
they are an important part of amarnath yatra -- every year and it has been going for years.
and i have no second thoughts that it will not happen in future or they will not let it happen.

i also feel that a piece of land should not been the issue at all with kasmiri muslims, had it not been played out by the politicians for the coming election gains.
and now the situation has come to such a stage that it is the "prestige" issue now --- land for the shrine board or not.
"land" is not the issue now, but the "prestige" is the issue.
